Ross Vexsis Series

A smooth performer featuring the best of Ross's new design elements, the Vexsis represents cutting edge technology in a mid-priced fly reel. Both the drag system and spool release are brand new. The drag features a multi-disc stack containing carbon fiber, aluminum, rulon and ceramic for maximum range and heat resistance. You'll notice a distinct lack of start up tension and widely adjustable range. While a spool release is mostly cosmetic, we must admit that Ross's new MagnaLock system is totally cool. A locking magnet is released when two small buttons are pushed, changing the polarity of the engaging magnets and releasing the spool. It's quick, easy, failproof and downright space age.

Of course, some of the most important elements of this reel are not actually "new." Ross's famous machining is highlighted in the Vexsis with maximum porting and beautiful curvature. The reel's compelling shape is not merely cosmetic, of course. The specific machined shape offers terrific durability for a reel that shows so much "air." Machining craftsmanship is what Ross does best. The Vexsix features a large arbor spool for fast retrieve and floating drag knob design for effortless tension adjustment.
