Easy-casting fly rod

I test-cast this model with an SA Textured GPX Taper WF5F line and found that it resulted in a medium-fast action. Though not as stiff as I expected, the A4 905-4 is imminently castable in a wide range of distances and will fall right into the hands of most anglers. It is smooth and sweet from twenty feet to over 60 feet and can go much longer than that in the hands of a strong caster. I loved the action of this rod, but came to the conclusion that the angler should think carefully about the line choice. A heavy line, such as the Rio Grand or SA Magnum, will make this a "medium" action rod, whereas a Rio Trout LT or SA Trout Taper would make the rod "fast" action.
Line recommendation: Rio Gold or Rio Trout LT, SA Trout Taper
