Mastery Textured Saltwater lines feature the Scientific Anglers proprietary textured coating, which provides maximum shootability without the abrasive qualities of Sharkskin lines.   The taper is designed to blast saltwater flies through the wind, then present them delicately.  The hard coating is optimized for warm weather and water.  This is an incredible line, recently reviewed by the great Brian O'Keefe as the best saltwater fly line ever designed.  For most anglers, the amount of texture in the "Textured" line optimizes performance without any of the reservations held against the extra aggressive Sharkskin line.
