Mastery Textured Magnum Taper lines feature the Scientific Anglers proprietary textured coating, which provides maximum shootability without the abrasive qualities of Sharkskin lines.   The Magnum taper is designed to blast large, heavy flies and split shot in the wind and turn them over right on target.  The Magnum is 1/2 size heavy relative to its designated line weight to load fast action fly rods.  For most anglers, the amount of texture in the "Textured" line optimizes performance without any of the reservations held against the extra aggressive Sharkskin line.
