The Fishpond Marabou Vest is our favorite Fishpond vest to date.  Fishpond has edited bulky features and added key elements to create the most useful, comfortable and streamlined vest in their distinguished line up of fly fishing vests.  The Marabou Vest comes in a choice of fabrics: lightweight, breathable nylon (Barnwood color) or 12 oz. waxed cotton canvas (Silt color choice).  The whole vest just feels and wears much lighter than other versions, thanks to a minimalist design approach.  Pockets lay flatter.  Unnecessary material has been removed.  Heavy fly box protective moldings have been eliminated.  The Marabou Vest has 13 exterior and interior pockets and a large easy-access rear compartment for stuffing your rain jacket or lunch.  Fishpond's one-size-fits-most strap adjustments are a signature design element that allows the angler to loosen the vest to accomodate extra layers in cold weather.  The Marabou vest has all the tool attachment docks, D-rings and other features that we expect from Fishpond, plus one huge improvement: fleece-lined hand warmer pockets.  What a great feature!
