S4 Series

The Scott S4 is a classic fast action rod, featuring Scott's innovative hand-fit sleeve ferrule and a proprietary combination of lightweight materials. What's unique about the S4s is that they possess some of the light-touch characteristics found in Scott's signature G2 Series. The tips are spectacularly light and sweet, delivering greater feel and a sense of connectedness between your hand and the fly line. The rods feature "crushable" REC Nickel Titanium snake guides and an almost weightless clear coat over the classic unsanded blank. Trim work is in silver and gray and the reel seat insert is a stunning Buckeye burl. What does this mean to the angler? The S4 is a user-friendly fast action fly rod. Casting one is like driving a Ferrari, but the S4 gives you much more than speed. It's light tip is excellent for roll casting, line mending and other subtle techniques that make the difference between mere casting and catching fish. The S4 produces gorgeous casting loops, even in the hands of a traditional, slow-action fly rod caster. This should come as no surprise as the S4 fronts the legacy of world class fly rods from the company that has given us so many great ones over the years.
